I miss Cruising: Fondly Remembering RCL’s Symphony of Sea’s Urinals.

So, its Superbowl Sunday and this is the first year in awhile where Reva and I are not on a cruise. Damn Corona ….. and I don’t mean the beer. Anyway, in honor of all those who have had their cruises cancelled in 2020 and 2021, I thought I would share my favorite urinal pictures from RCL’s Symphony of the Seas. Why? Because, when you are a guy on Superbowl Sunday you spend a lot of time looking at the walls above urinals and sometimes there is no better artwork to be found.

Enjoy and feel free to send me comments and include pictures of your favorite urinal art.

Every Public restroom on the beautiful state of the art ship comes with its own urinal mural.
OK, Can’t remember where I found this one but you get the idea.
What we truly feel about Covid-19!
Enjoy the game ….

  1. The one and only cruise I went on was in 1992 with Celebrity Cruise Lines. I won the cruise in a sales contest at Martin Chevrolet in Warren Ohio. You brought back memories from you post about urinals but my memory of the toilet is funny. When I got home from the Cruise I felt like I fell to the ground sitting on the toilet at home, I dropped 2 feet into the unknown… What happened? The toilet is lower than the Cruise Ships toilet and after 7 days at sea my muscle memory got me used to high rise toilets. My 1960’s toilet will never feel the same…

    1. Great potty story! You are a tall guy…not as big a deal for us closer to the ground. You should try cruising when it comes back….it has changed. I don’t know if you remember the ship you were on. The Horizon and Zenith were fairly new back then and were Celebrity’s second and third ships. They ended up at a Spanish Cruise line and we loved those ships. They are tiny in today’s world but they had class. The Horizon went to the scrap yard in 2020….thank you Corona. We had four cruises booked on it.
